Will-Be-Boxing

They say you  must follow proper tipping etiquette.

But I say etiquette-shmetikit.

It's in bad form for a company to expect you to pay their employees' wages.

So where is their etiquette?

More to come in my next post.  In the meantime, what are your thoughts on the expectation of tipping your servers or stylists or local McDonald's cashier?

  1. actually tips are almost all the wait staff make ... their hourly rate is like 2 or 3 bucks or something horrible ... Fast food are paid a better hourly and they don't wait on you ... but those who do wait on you deserve a tip ... I think this goes for hair stylist, and some othr things too ... it's a recognition that their help is appreciated, their time is valuable like anyone's ... everything is a mutual give and take, it all comes back around in some form or other.
In the case of someone being rude to you, that would be something to let the management know about. It sounds like someone was rude to you but you posted this pretty early in the morning! But it would also be good to let the management know when someone is doing a good job. People need their brownie points. It just goes back to the old golden rule.
