Happy Easter to You All

I am no theological scholar; that's fairly obvious.  I am not certain if Easter's date was seemingly chosen at random, such as Christmas;  December 25th was taken from a pagan holiday.  But Easter- I'm not so sure if its dates come from the actual resurrection or not.

I find it very fitting, however, that here in the northern hemisphere, its placement is in the springtime.  Spring is a time of renewal, a time of new life.  And Easter represents God's giving of new life to us, through Jesus' crucifixion, through Jesus' resurrection.

Happy Easter to you all.  May we remember His love.  If you do not believe in Jesus, may you know you are loved anyway.
